Do you want to know the context surrounding certain words or certain types of words? For example, does the word “pain” typically appear near negative emotion words? Do pronouns appear more often near words about friends or words about family?
With this software, you can answer these types of questions. Input a list of words, and select a “word window” — the number of surrounding words that you want to capture — and Contextualizer will scan texts and provide output that hones in on your word list. From there, you can analyze the word contexts with your favorite software, such as LIWC.
